The Old Gate Bar is a larger bar on New Dover Road in Canterbury that is open until late at night. In fact, in addition to the bar, it is a Western BBQ restaurant, even during the day. The barbecue here is very recommended, the ingredients are fresh, the variety is more, the price is reasonable, and the service is thoughtful. It is very pleasant to eat barbecue and drink beer here.

This hidden gem was a great find ! The staff was so friendly and helping ! The food was tasty and delicious. And the place has a welcome atmosphere. Don&rsquo;t forget to try the local whisky which is really good! I do apologise for the booking. I thought we didn&rsquo;t have one and said so upon arrival (because when I tried to book, I received an error message. But I hadn&rsquo;t checked my mails and when I did, there was indeed a booking confirmation). Sorry about the misunderstanding. We also would like to thank the staff for helping my husband to find my son&rsquo;s dental brace (he had left it in a tissue which had gone to the rubbish bin&hellip;). Definitely a good place that we would recommend.

旧门酒吧位于坎特伯雷的新多佛尔路，是一家比较大的酒吧，每天一直会营业到深夜。其实除了酒吧以外，这里更是一个西餐烧烤餐馆，即使白天这里都很热闹。这里的烧烤很值得推荐，食材新鲜，种类较多，价格合理，服务周到。在这里吃烧烤喝啤酒，非常惬意。

I have been going to The Old Gate Inn on and off for many years. There does not seem to be a lot of choice but I thought I would treat my Dad as last time we had a roast there is was really good. Unfortunately the roast potatoes were roasted new potatoes not proper roasties- I can only assume they had lots left from the week before and the yorkshire puddings tasted and looked like the instant oven ones. I ask every time to be put into the restaurant side of the building and am always seated in the part where dogs are allowed. More notice of bookings need to be taken.The new manager there is working hard and very bubbly and the waiter did his best but I think was new.  I am not sure whether we will rush to go again.

Very nice restaurant bit we waited over 45 minutes for our food to arrive and it was luke warm. It was very busy in the restaurant being a Saturday lunch time but there didnt appear to be enough staff for the amount of customers.

The staff were nice especially our waitress how was lovely,really nice food we won&rsquo;t eat anywhere else from now on when we are In Canterbury,looking forward to returning have told my brother in law and his wife about it and they are going next week.

Quite expensive for what it is. Arrived and they had a great choice of beer I&rsquo;d draft for any lager drinker. We got to sit outside under a shaded tree which was nice. Quiet and away from city centre, however prices reflect what you&rsquo;d pay in city centre. Food was satisfactory. Chicken and Pancetta pie - good. Vegetable wrap - good. Would maybe visit again.
